JORDAN + SIERRA | CALGARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Sierra + Jordan - A photographers lighting dream this day was. Although it downpoured some mad hail for a short bit, the positive energy and beautiful backdrops for photos was SOO worth it!! From the hotel rooms being well lit and beautifully decorated, to the ceremony + reception venue having all the proper lighting + color tones .. I was so so happy! I have never photographed wedding formals at Bowness Park, but I have to say it may be my new favourite spot for the North Calgary! So much color + rich tones, I was in love!

Bowness Lions + Scout Club is a great place fro a ceremony! With wooden beams around the ceiling and white walls - you really could decorate it however you want

The moment the ceremony finished we could see some very dark clouds rolling in fast. So we literally popped over to a playground that had a few spruce trees and captured all the family photos EL PRONTO!

..and then RIGHT when we started formals, it hits us. And hard. Not talking rain or a drizzle, there were hail bits ya’ll and as you can see from these girls expressions - they were laughing half afraid lol

AND THEN JUST LIKE THAT.. IT STOPPED! Sun fully out and ready to keep the day rolling - wooo!

If you want different backdrops for photos of just you and your partner, then you need to carve the time. These two carved out 2 hours JUST for them and it wasn’t rushed.. we shot all over Bowness then headed to our second location. And they were patient while I set them up and shot my heart out <3

Headed to Nose Hill Park for the last portion of photos. I remember suggesting this spot as it was on the way to the reception.. little did I know this place had special significance to them as Jordan proposed to Sierra here!!

I spent a short while at the reception which was decked out in the prettiest decor! Applause Hotel was a great host for this wedding reception <3
